This is a tricky question. Only because it really all depends on how close you have gotten to a person in a certain amount of time. If I have only been on one or two dates with a guy, I don't think I would expect a gift per se. But I do think the gentlemanly thing to do, if he were interested, would be to send flowers or even a simple box of chocolates.

I would say the first Valentines or Birthday we experience. I would want the first to be memorable. A nice gift would be anything that he knew that I wanted, or something extremely sentimental, nice doesn't always mean $$

I would expect a nice gift after a week or two, but nothing extravagant. I would much rather get something meaningful over lavash gifts.

Completely depends but after three months or meeting the parents would be a good bet. A nice gift would be something that you would never buy for your sister. Something that sparkles, something that is a little sexy, or something that is important to her but she would not buy for herself.
